A valiant effort...

Well, we may have lost... but it was fun. Tonight was one of those nights, they kept hitting it where we weren't. Top defensive plays that come to mind off the top of my head:

• Noah catching the deep fly ball
• Molly going back and snagging a pop-up
• Rachel and Mr. J plucking multiple pop-ups out of the air
• I'm sure there's more, but than they would not be off the top of my head

Let's not forget Betsy, Baron and Carrie running around shagging all those line drives/fly balls that landed. It was crazy out there! Speaking of crazy... man, what happened to Gabes?

There will be no practice this weekend since most of the people the usually come to them are out of town. Have a wonderful week.

Vs. Marty's Bar Recap

I hope everyone had a good time last night. We played very well and held one of the best teams in the league to only one big inning.

Highlights included:
Debbie throwing off the mask to make a Mauer-like catch in foul territory.
Jake handling probably the hardest hit grounder of the season in the first inning.
Jenny's two RBI triples.
Pete's almost-home-run.
Sterling defense by our Ps.
Debbie's beer bringing.

Lowlights included:
A weird, lumpy infield.
A weird, lumpy outfield.
Terrible lighting.
One of your co-managers jumping out of the way of a ground ball.
